Employers hire skills, not academic knowledge. Are you worried about choosing the right school and degree program to give your student the best chance at a successful career?

Home: Headliner

The most common questions students ask today are:

How do I get a job doing something I enjoy?

How can I get into the school I want when more people are applying?

How do I stand out in the crowd?

What if I don’t want to go to college right now?

The most common questions parents ask today are:

How do I put my kid on a post-high school path that gives them the best chance of a happy life and doesn’t leave them with tens of thousands in student debt?

My Next Step Advisors offers workshops for students in grades 7-12 and seminars for parents, including:

01

Skill building workshops to help students develop the soft skills employers use to hire candidates

02

Passion project workshops to help students develop a passion project that will teach them how to turn that passion into a purposeful career and support their college application or resume development

03

Parent seminars to help navigate the sea of information and build a plan that fits their students’ needs

We work with schools, PTAs, and other education organizations to schedule these interactive opportunities. Interested in having us speak to your school, PTA or group? Reach out here for more information on the workshops we offer.

About My Next Step Advisors

Alexa Krezel, founder and Chief Advisor for My Next Step Advisors built her career in human resources, delivering learning solutions to help employees grow the right skills to develop their careers. Central to her work and life are her passion skills of instructional design, project management and data analytics.

In 2012 she joined the Fairfax County Public Schools Career and Technical Education Advisory Committee, where she advocated for all students to be able to experience rich project-based learning opportunities that help develop students’ soft skills and discover their passions.  When her son began his college preparation journey, she brought her skills to the process, supporting her son as he thought about his future career and education path. She founded My Next Step Advisors to help other families in their journeys.
